This is a list of roles in the Gala Games Discord, with their purpose and how they are obtained. Some roles alter the color of a user’s display name and come with a unique icon.
Roles that are unused or are for internal use are not listed.
General Roles #
These are roles generally available to everyone in the server. For roles that are automatically assigned, ensure your Gala and Discord accounts are connected to each other. You may need to disconnect and reconnect your accounts if the roles do not update.

Self-assignable Roles #
These roles can be self-assigned in the #🔹role-selection channel. Gala uses them as announcement pings for a particular project or language (although this is not done for all languages). Some are required to view and access hidden channels.
Make sure to select the projects and languages relevant to you so you don’t miss out on important announcements!

These roles are assigned to Gala staff members, and are usually colored red, green or orange. Staff can often have multiple of these roles.
